Ultimates & Abilities: Unleashing Your Evomon's Hidden Power

Updated 2018-10-20 · 2 min read

When your Evomon reaches Level 30, it unlocks its most devastating tool: the Ultimate Move. This guide explains how to master the Ultimate Gauge and maximize your combat effectiveness.

⚡ 1. The Level 30 Power Spike

Level 30 is the most important milestone for any new Evomon. At this level, two critical things happen:

  1. Ultimate Unlock: Your Evomon learns its "Signature Move." This skill is significantly more powerful than standard attacks and often features a unique cinematic or AOE (Area of Effect).
  2. Ultimate Gauge: A new yellow bar appears beneath your Evomon's health and energy bars. This is your Ultimate Gauge.

🔋 2. Charging the Gauge

Unlike standard moves that consume Energy (Mana), the Ultimate Move is "free" but requires a full charge.

  • Offensive Charge: Dealing damage with standard skills is the fastest way to charge the gauge.
  • Defensive Charge: Taking damage also provides a small amount of charge, allowing you to turn a losing battle around with a "clutch" ultimate.
  • Perfect Timings: Using a skill that is "Super Effective" against an opponent provides a bonus 15% charge to the gauge.

⚔️ 3. Timing is Everything

Because your Ultimate Move has a long "re-charge" period (it doesn't reset between wild battles, only after a full charge), you must time its use carefully.

  • Dungeon Waves: In the Petal Pond EXP Dungeon, save your Ultimate for Wave 5. Using it on Wave 1 is a waste, as you will likely have a full charge again by the time the Boss wave appears.
  • Boss AOE: Many Ultimate moves provide a "Shield" or "Invincibility Frames" (I-Frames) during their animation. Use your Ultimate just as a Boss initiates its "One-Shot" beam attack to survive the hit and deal massive counter-damage.
  • Type Synergy: If it is Raining, a Water-type Ultimate will deal devastating damage. Always check the weather indicator before unleashing your final move.

📖 4. The Ability Preview

Don't just look at the damage numbers. Open the Evomon Menu and hover over your skills to see the Ability Preview.

  • Scaling: Some Ultimates scale with HP (The lower your health, the more damage you deal), while others scale with Special Attack.
  • Effects: Look for secondary effects like Stun, Freeze, or Burn. An Ultimate that stuns a boss for 5 seconds is often more valuable than one that deals slightly more raw damage.
